July 31, 2008 – CSCST Camotes Campus celebrated the culmination of Nutrition Month 2008 with the theme “ Sa Wastong Nutrition ni Mommy Siguradong Healthy si Baby”. The celebration started with a Holy Mass which was facilitated by the active BSHRST students along with the Faculty, Staff and the CSCST-FIC SSC Officers. After the holy mass; simultaneous events were held at the CSCST open basketball court. Competent students coming from different department showcased their craft in the following events; Oratorical Speech, Jingle Competition, Table Skirting, Table Set-Up, Wine Mixing, Cooking, Food Carving and Poster Making. Side events (banana eating contest and rice eating using chop sticks) also added fun and color in the culminating activity.
The winners of the different events were announced later in the afternoon with a simple yet cozy ceremony. This celebration really proved that students in this untouched paradise island of Camotes particularly in the Cebu State College of Science and Technology Fishery and Industrial College are top notch and competently trained to become the best among the rest.
